MUKAH: A 32-year-old man was found dead on the beach in front of Mukah Youth Camp here on Wednesday (Nov 10).
The deceased, whose name was not disclosed, worked as a mechanic and stayed at Kampung Tanam, Dalat near here. The address on his identity card was 628-B San San Garden, Jalan Sultan Iskandar, Bintulu.
Mukah district police chief DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias, said today, about 6.55am, the police received a call from an individual identified as Martila Marni, informing them that her younger brother was found dead on the beach in front of Mukah Youth Camp.
The police team arrived at the scene at 7.20am.
“Initial investigation found no element of crime and also no sign of struggle and other bodily injury,” Muhamad Rizal said in a statement today.
He added the case had been classified as sudden death.
The body was taken to the Mukah Hospital mortuary for further action while the case was still being investigated by the police.
Muhamad Rizal advised the public not to speculate on the cause of death.
