KUCHING: A van parked in Samariang Square, Jalan Sultan Tengah, here was engulfed in flames this morning.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Petra Jaya station were deployed to the scene after receiving a distress call around 7.20 am.
By the time the firefighters arrived, the flames had engulfed the vehicle.
The flames were finally doused at 7.45 am. No injuries or casualties were reported.
The cause of the fire and losses incurred are still under investigation.
