MIRI: A collision between a car and a lorry resulted in the death of a 39-year old individual while the passenger was left critically injured.
It was reported that the tragic accident occurred around 2.30pm when the driver was heading towards Miri Airport yesterday.
The unfortunate collision happened when the victim’s car crashed onto the back of a lorry, resulting in the tragic death of the driver.
The impact of the crash was so severe, as it led to an extensive damage to the car.
Fire and Rescue personnel (Bomba) were immediately dispatched to the scene, where they found the car driver was instantly killed on the spot due to the horrible impact.
Meanwhile, the injured passenger of the car was rushed to Miri Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Investigations are still underway to determine the actual cause of the accident.
