LUBOK ANTU: A woman died while two others, including a student, suffered severe injuries following a three-vehicle collision at KM6, Jalan Lubok Antu-Sri Aman here, yesterday.
According to Sarawak Traffic Police Chief Supt Bingkok John, who confirmed the matter, the victim identified as Missi Manggang, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene due to severe injuries.
The fatal accident, involving two motorcycles and a car, occurred around 4.25pm when the victim was riding her motorcycle alone.
“The casualties on the second motorcycle were a 42-year-old man and a 12-year-old boy, both of whom suffered serious injuries and were sent to Sri Aman Hospital for immediate treatment.
“The 34-year-old driver, on the other hand, was unharmed in the crash,” he said.
Bingkok added that the investigating officer has obtained information from key witnesses and the investigation is still ongoing under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
