KUCHING: 10 members of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Youth N.36 Saribas started their mission to ascend the 4,095m Mount Kinabalu yesterday.

According to Saribas Assembly-man Mohammad Razi Sitam, the team consisted of eight men and two women climbers will be in Kota Kinabalu for five days.

“This inaugural event is organised by PBB Saribas. Our goal is to put the Sarawak flag at the top of the mountain,” he said when met at the airport on Wednesday.

He added, out of the 10 members, three had climbed the country’s highest mountain in Sabah before.
