SIBU: Boxing championship for the 31st Infantry Brigade here was held from July 16 to 21 at the 6th Battalion Border Regiment Junaco Park Camp.

The best boxer was awarded to 1190513 Pbt Mohamad Nasarudin bin Ramlie from the 10th Battalion Border Regiment while the potential boxer was awarded to 1191162 Pbt Ronalex Anus from the 8th Battalion Border Regiment.

Meanwhile, he 8th Battalion Border Regiment emerged as the overall champion.

The championship was participated by 12 officers and 88 army personel under the 31st Infantry Brigade.

The Infantry Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Dato’ Haji Fadzil Tajudin officiated at the closing of the championship.

In his speech, he said boxing as a sport is synonym in the army and congratulated those who were selected to represent the 31st Infantry Brigade at the 1st Division level championship.
