SARIKEI: The Bantuan Khas Sarawakku Sayang (BKSS) 6.0 scheme is in full swing. People in Repok constituency affected by the movement control order (MCO) have started receiving food assistance.
Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii said some 1,000 households have received the aid starting yesterday (June 6).
He hoped the food supply assistance would ease the burden of those affected by the MCO.
“We also want to thank the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government led by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg who has agreed to allocate funds for the purchase of food,” he said.
More households are expected to receive the food assistance in the coming days.
