KUCHING: Sarawak is set to host the EIC CONNECT Energy Borneo, 2025, with the conference scheduled to be held on Fed 25 to 26 next year at the Hikmah Exchange Event Centre.

Deputy Minister of Energy and Environmental Sustainability Datuk Dr Hazland Abang Hipni said the conference is the state government’s commitment to engage more aggressively in the energy transition.

“We all understand that the path to a sustainable future involves collaboration across sectors, sharing innovative concepts to achieve net zero emissions, and decarbonising our operation to meet emission targets in the Borneo region.

“The themes to be explored over these two days include:

* Net zero as catalyst for economic prosperity.

* Collaborative actions in achieving regional synergies.

* Strategies for strengthening energy security.

“These themes are crucial as we strive to align our objectives with global energy goals while enhancing the economic stability of our region,” he told a press conference for the announcement of EIC CONNECT Energy Borneo 2025 at the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly premises (DUN) today.
