BINTULU: The “Ngabang Gawai Together with Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas” programme will be held at the Dinner World Restaurant here on May 17 at 6 pm.
The chairman of the organising committee, Councillor Minggu Angga, said that 1,000 guests are expected to attend the programme, with all 100 tables for the event already sold out.
He mentioned various exciting activities such as cultural and traditional performances, as well as performances by popular Iban artistes like Ricky El and Lucy M.
“Incentives for outstanding Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia and Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia students, as well as incentives for further education for the children of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) N60 Kakus members, will also be presented,” he said at a coordination meeting for the programme held here yesterday.
Twenty committee members, including the executive council member of PBB Youth Sarawak, Murphy Nyegang; PBB Kakus Youth chief, Jameri Abit, and PBB Kakus Women’s Wing chief, Rohana Abdullah, attended the meeting.
Other activities include lucky draws with attractive electrical appliances to be won, with the grand prize winner set to bring home an Oppo Reno 11 Pro smartphone.
