KUCHING: Eleven finalists will compete for the coveted title of the inaugural Miss Hardware Beauty Pageant this Saturday evening.
The event themed ‘The rise of the Hardware Queen’” will be held on the top floor of the Crown Square — Thian Court Restaurant.
It is organised by the Kuching and Kota Samarahan Division Hardware and Machinery Merchants’ Association.
The 11 finalists are Choi Yi Zhan, Presillia Lee, Celline Piong, Kelly Lim, Irene Liew, Yvonne Yang Tze Wee, Alice Ong, Adelynna Yang Tze Wee, Jojo Ting, Angel Chai and Lai Yan Ni.
The title winner will take home prizes worth RM6,000 (RM3,000 and RM3,000 in the form of gifts). The first runner-up will receive RM3,000 (RM2,000 and RM1,000 gifts) while the second runner-up RM2,000 (RM1,500 cash and RM500 gifts).
The grand finale of the beauty pageant will be the highlight of the association’s Moon Cake Festival dinner, to be attended by about1100 guests.
During the dinner, there will be presentation of academic awards for children of the association members who excelled in their studies.
There will also be lucky draws with attractive prizes.
