KUCHING: Police have issued 11 compounds to errant individuals for failing to comply with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) in public places.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said Kuching recorded four compounds, followed by three in Kota Samarahan, two in Mukah, and one each in Miri and Betong.
Apart from that, the Ministry of Local Government issued 78 verbal, written, and seizure warnings in areas under the supervision of various local councils.
On the SOP compliance monitoring, patrol teams have inspected 1,356 premises throughout Sarawak.
These include 260 restaurants, supermarkets (158), banks (122), places of worship (60), hawker stalls (60), public markets (53), government offices (38), leisure places (30), construction sites (17), factories (12), and others (546).
Under Ops Benteng, a total of 1,016 vehicles were inspected through seven roadblocks in six districts — two in Lawas, and one each in Lundu, Bau, Serian, Sri Aman, and Lubok Antu.
