KUCHING: Eleven vendors won recognition for excellent contract delivery at the Sarawak Energy Vendor Awards (SEVA) 2021, on Wednesday night.
The award recipients were evaluated for their performance in health, security, safety & environmental excellence (HSSE), quality of works, delivery of services and integrity.
There were seven categories, namely, Best Works, Best Supplier, Best Service Provider, Best Local Consultant, Best International Consultant, as well as Best Bumiputera Vendor and Promising Bumiputera Vendor.
In the Best Works award category, the recipients were Ody Enterprise and Mega Electrical Engineering Services while Shorefield Sdn Bhd received the Best Bumiputera Vendor award.
As for Promising Bumiputera Vendor, the award went to Faizal Engineering (FBI) Trading Limbang and Geoimpact Resource.
In the Best Service Provider category, the recipients were Melbourne Business School in Australia, Crest Business Solution Sdn Bhd and NIOSH Certification Sdn Bhd.
Pine Contract & Supplies received the Best Supplier award while Jurutera Azan Bersekutu received the Best Local Consultant award.
As for Best International Consultant, the award went to Vriens & Partners Pte Ltd.
The presentation of the awards at Pullman Hotel was officiated by Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg accompanied by Sarawak Energy Chairman, Datuk Amar Abdul Hamed Sepawi and Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Datuk Sharbini Suhaili.
The annual Sarawak Energy Vendor Awards is part of the Group’s procurement transformation initiatives in line with its focus on strengthening the management of its vendors.
The awards also aim to recognise Bumiputera performance and encourage Bumiputera business participation.
