SERIAN: A total of 113 individuals in Serian received donations in the form of food baskets and mandarin oranges ahead of the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration.
According to a news report from the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn was present to handover the food basket during Majlis Sejambak Kasih Chinese New Year 2023 held in Serian recently.
Organised by the Che Han Kor Serian Moral Uplifting Society, the 113 recipients were of different races and religions.
The event is an annual activity of the organisation in helping to improve the quality of life among underprivileged families.
