PADAWAN: The Padawan District Police Headquarters (IPD) has initiated its Annual Shooting Training, aimed at honing the shooting prowess of police officers.

According to Padawan police chief Supt Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad, the training, set to run over two days from February 27 to 28, saw the participation of 116 officers.

“The focus is on defensive shooting techniques, incorporating standing and kneeling positions.

“This annual training is important in evaluating our team’s firearm proficiency,” he said during a press conference at Pulapol Kuching today (Feb 27).

Abang Zainal said this would prepare a police force dedicated to community safety and protection.
