KUCHING: Twelve finalists will vie to become the winner of Radio Televisyen Malaysia’s (RTM) 8th Bidayuh Song Chart Awards (ACLB) on July 16.
The show starts at 8pm at the P. Ramlee Auditorium, RTM Kuching.
Due to limited seating, the public who wish to attend physically are advised to grab the free entrance pass at RTM Kuching’s guard house starting July 6.
The show will also be aired live on radio station WAIfm and WAIfm Bidayuh on Facebook. The show will be recorded and broadcast for the first time on TV Okey.
Sarawak RTM director Nasrul Hakim Md Noh said the show served as a platform for local artistes to go further in the industry.
“RTM Sarawak will invite all the 12 finalists to do a re-recording and remastering of all the songs and produce a metadata music album for ACLB 2022.
“RTM hopes that these Bidayuh songs can be distributed and channeled not through CD (compact disc) anymore,” he said at a press conference on Friday (July 8).
