KUCHING: The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) on Tuesday (Sept 28) declared that the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) will be enforced at 12 localities in the state.
They said that from Sept 28 to Oct 7, the EMCO will be imposed at Rumah (Rh) Tuntun, Seduku Ili, Lingga in Sri Aman District as well as both Rh Libau, Ng Buku and Rh Kunjan, Ng Buku in Pakan District.
“The EMCO will also be enforced at Sarawak Slipways Sdn Bhd, Lot 2045 Kuala Baram Industrial Estate in Miri District from Sept 28 to Oct 8,” they said in their daily Covid-19 statement today (Sept 28).
They announced that the EMCO will be enforced at three localities in Sarikei District — namely Rh Gerinching, Sg Jagit Sare; Rh Buni, Sungai Sentebu; and Rh Meringai, Sungai Kerubong Selalang — from Sept 29 to Oct 8.
“The EMCO will be imposed at Rh Panjang Sigah Lak, Sg Baoh Burak in Dalat District from Sept 29 to Oct 8. It will also be imposed at Rh Asol, Tabau, Krian in Saratok District and Rh Galing, Lubok Nibong in Kabong District from Sept 29 to Oct 9,” they said.
The committee added that from Sept 29 to Oct 9, the EMCO would also be enforced at both Rh Beti, Mujam, Spak and Rh Randi, Entanak in Betong District.
They said the EMCO at Rh Mokeng Tambom, Gudang Tengah, Sibuti in Subis District would be extended to last from Sept 29 to Oct 3 whereas the EMCO at Kampung Benawa and SK Benawa in Marudi District would be extended to last from Sept 29 to Oct 5.
SDMC also declared the end of the EMCO imposed at 14 localities in the state.
“The EMCO at Rh Gingdan Mancha, Gudang Atas, Sibuti in Subis District has come to an end on Sept 28,” they said.
Also ended as of Sept 28 in Pakan District was the EMCO imposed at Rh Panggau, Munggu Empelam; Rh John Ukok, Lemujan; Rh Andrew, Simpang Jagoi; Rh Andrew Ungon, Ng Darau; Rh Joseph, Ulu Marau; and Rh Minang, Bt 2.
The committee said that the EMCO imposed at Rh Lampun, Sg Sare; Rh Rosyvia, Sg Sare; Rh Edmund, Sg Baji; and Rh Robert, Sg Merudu in Sarikei District had ended as of Sept 28.
“The EMCO enforced at Rh Philip Janting, Ulu Bejawai Sangkong in Julau District and Rh Ngumbang Achak, KM12 Jalan Tatau/Sibu in Tatau District has ended as of Sept 28,” they stated.
SDMC said the EMCO enforced at Rh Sandai, Rantau Nibong, Sengaih Entabai in Julau District would end on Sept 29.
