DARO: The role of community leaders and village chiefs (KMKK) are crucial in maintaining harmony and stability within their urban and rural communities.
According to Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad, the appointment of this leaders signify a high responsibility as their duty is to lead with fairness and wisdom.
“Community leaders and headmen are essential pillars of our administrative system. They play a vital role in serving as a bridge between the government and the people.
“I hope those appointed will carry out their duties with full dedication and integrity,” he said in his speech at the Certificate Presentation Ceremony for the Appointment of KMKK Leaders for Daro and Matu districts at the Daro district office on Tuesday.
A total of 12 leaders received their appointment certificates during the ceremony.
Aside from that, Safiee also presented minor rural project (MRP) grants to 13 recipients amounting to a total of RM192,000.
Also present were Daro district officer Zul Usop and Matu district officer Hamidah Halpi.
