LANGKAWI: A souvenir trader is taking advantage of the 15th edition of the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (LIMA), which attracts thousands of visitors, local and from abroad, to sell his aviation patches.
Shukri Sarjeng has brought along 120 PVC and sublimation aviation patches on combat aircraft, cargo aircraft and helicopters, which he said, are being sought after by patch collectors all over the world.
He said each patch is made based on the participation of the aircraft concerned at training and exhibitions.
“I’m selling my aviation patches, with 30 pieces for each design, at RM25 each. I have the patch on the combat aircraft Sukhoi SU-30MKM and F/A-18D Hornet , as well as the cargo transport aircraft Airbus A400M and Charlie C-130 owned by the Royal Malaysia Air Force (RMAF).
“I also have the patch on the aerobatic team, Russian Knights from the Russian Air Force, but the most sought after is on Sukhoi SU-30MKM,” Shukri said when met here today.
Shukri said he had been selling the aviation patches since LIMA 2015.
He also sells other souvenirs such as T-shirts, key chains, aircraft models, stickers and lanyards. – Bernama
