KUCHING: The state government, through UKAS under the Premier’s Department, is working to strengthen the quality of crisis communication between departments and the people of the state.

In line with this, UKAS organised a ‘Making Connections’ programme at a hotel here on Tuesday (Oct 15).

The course aims to reinforce the principles of crisis communication and the importance of addressing negative impacts on departments, agencies, or companies.

A total of 120 participants from Sarawak and federal government departments and agencies, as well as private companies, are participating in the programme, which runs from Oct 15 to 16.

On the second day, the programme features a dialogue session attended by the Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Corporate Affairs, Information, and UKAS) Datuk Abdullah Saidol, Deputy State Secretary (Operations) Datuk Hii Chang Kee, and UKAS director Samuel Simon.
