KUCHING: One hundred and twenty people yesterday bled for a good cause under the Yayasan Farley’s Blood Donation Programme.

The event, held at Farley Kuching, involved a professional medical team to manage health checks and monitor the safety and health of the donors.

The programme offered other health check-up services such as blood pressure checks and hearing assessments.

“The main purpose of the programme is, of course, to save the lives of those who need blood. By gathering people to donate blood, we can obtain a large number of blood units to meet the demand of individuals requiring blood transfusions,” Yayasan Farley said in a statement.
.
“At the same time, the programme also aims to raise awareness among the community about the importance of donating blood and its benefits to personal health.

“This is proof of our commitment to positively impact society as a non-profit organisation dedicated to humanitarian purposes.”

Blood donors record their data at a counter.

The next programme will be held at the same location (Farley Kuching) on October 19 (Saturday) from 9 am to 2 pm.
