MARUDI: A total of 120 teachers in Marudi received the Outstanding Service Award (APC) certificate for 2021, on Tuesday (June 28).

Baram MP Anyi Ngau said he was touched by the services provided by the educators, especially in rural areas such as Baram.

“I was moved when I entered this hall because the public service in general and educators in particular are a very large group of services, and has a large number of members compared to other agencies, apart from having a large allocation.

“Baram District is a remote area, and we need all of you (teachers) to continue to strive to increase the potential of the students, especially in rural areas to continue to be on par with students outside of Baram,” he said at Dewan Suarah Marudi here.

He hoped that the educational achievements in the district would continue to be improved even though teachers in the area faced logistical challenges, especially going to schools.
