SRI AMAN: About 1,200 people attended the Sahabat Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) festival here last Saturday.
Community Wellbeing Assistant Minister and Simanggang assemblyman Datuk Francis Harden Hollis officiated at the closing of the festival at Sri Aman civic centre.
He was happy that entrepreneurs had responded well to AIM’s efforts to assist them financially.
He noted that all Sahabat members in Sri Aman Division paid back their loans.
“This reflects their business progress,” he said.
Activities that benefited entrepreneurs during the festival included the opening of sales booths, holding of entrepreneurial talks, lucky draws and presentation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance to participants who were affected by disasters such as fires.
At the event, Harden announced an allocation of RM5,000 to the Sri Aman branch of Kelab Usahawan Sahabat Ikhtiar Malaysia.
Also present were Wilayah Selatan Dua assistant manager Jemat Itu Bujang, Sri Aman District Officer’s representative Sandin Ajah, Sri Aman AIM branch manager Ahmad Mohammad, Entrepreneur executive officer Hasdiman Mahrin, Sri Aman Kelab Usahawan Sahabat Ikhtiar Malaysia manager Sophia Brandi and Sri Aman Sahabat AIM board representative chairman Nor Shahzarina Abdul Karim.
