KAPIT: A total of 123 heads of households from three neighbourhood areas of Baleh constituency have received food aid under the #Kita Bersama RT Cares Programme on Friday.

The symbolic handing over of food aid was officiated at by a political secretary to the chief minister Nicholas Kudi Jantai on behalf of the Deputy Chief Minister who is Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing.

Held at Rumah Berauh, Nanga Sebelanda at Sungai Paku, the event involved the distribution of food aid to three KRTs, namely Nanga Sebelanda (30 households), Sungai Paku (40 households) and Sungai Pulang (53 households).

It is hoped that the food aid distribution will help the government’s initiative to combat the Covid-19 pandemic and accelerate the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (NCIP).

Food aid packages ready be handed out to the heads of households.

During the event, Kudi called for more government agencies to work together to provide assistance to the people in facing difficulties during the pandemic.

At the same time, he also handed over the Baleh assemblyman’s minor rural project (MRP) grant amounting to RM15,500 to the Rumah Berauh village development and safety committee (JKKK).

Also present were Kapit National Integration and Unity Department officer Jendri Mangku, Kapit Division Neighbourhood Watch Committee (KRT) chairman Rimong Awal and KRT branches’ chairmen as well as Baleh Service Centre staff.
