MIRI: A total 1,235 villagers from five longhouses in Beluru here have undergone Covid-19 swab tests today.

The longhouses involved were Rumah Emah, Rumah Apol, Rumah Chabu, Rumah Anrhony and Rumah Justine.

Transport Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin, who is also minister in-charge of the Miri Division Disaster Management Committee (DDMC), said Beluru district has been placed under the movement control order (MCO) since January 11.

Lee added that one death, involving case 2,065, was reported on January 14 at Miri Hospital.

“The case was a high-risk patient,” he said today.
