The remaining 474 were those who will receive their second dose of vaccine — coming from essential frontline workers.
Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said for the period of April 19 to 30, a total of 13 vaccination centres will operate in all parts of Sarawak to ensure the smooth implementation of the programme.
“For this second phase, recipients will be given an appointment through the MySejahtera application two weeks before the vaccination date and recipients will need to confirm their willingness to receive the vaccine.
“Those who have been given an appointment and are ready to receive the vaccine are asked to be present at the place that has been specified in the application,” he told a press conference during his visit to the stadium this morning.
Uggah who is also the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman expressed his satisfaction on the procedures set for the immunisation programme at the stadium, stating that the use of Internet system was essential to speed up the registration process.
Amongst those accompanying him during the visit were Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian and state Health director Dr Chin Zin Hing.
