MIRI: A total 129 entries were submitted to Hari Raya Photo Contest 2022 organised by the Northern Sarawak Journalist Association (NSJA).
Its president Andy Jong said the winners received their prizes here on Saturday (Sept 17).
In the general public category, Mohamad Zuikhairi Awang Karim emerged champion and bagged RM500 in prizemoney, while first runner up spot went to Chiew Hua Siong (RM300), second runner up to Allen Wong Lung Hin (RM200) while fourth placing went to Liew Li Mui (RM150).
Two winners in this category Yong Siaw Ping and Liew Li Choo received consolation prizes.
Esther Wong’s photo was named the ‘most liked and shared’ in the general public category.
In the open category for NSJA members, Syaffuan Zaini (RTM Miri) was named champion with Claire Cinderella Ikom (Utusan Borneo) in second place.
Second runner up in this category was Lai Nyuk Fang (See Hua Daily), while Liew Li Mui (United Daily) was placed fourth.
Lo Kiun Sin (See Hua Daily ) and Connie Sylvia(Utusan Borneo) bagged consolation prizes.
The ‘Most Liked and Shared’ photo was that of Lai Nyuk Fang.
All prizes were presented by Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts I Datuk Sebastian Ting.
