KUCHING: Twenty new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the state on Thursday (Feb 3), according to a media statement from the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) here.
SDMC added that there were 252, 881 cumulative cases and 15 cases placed under category 1 with no symptoms.
Kuching recorded the highest with 13 cases, Sibu (3), Miri (2) and Samarahan (2).
The police have issued 13,139 compounds overall with 11 compounds issued daily, SDMC said.
To date, 10,506 sanitisation operations have been carried out by the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba).
“There are 159 person under surveillance (PUI) cases with 165,786 PUI cases discharged overall,” SDMC added.
SDMC also disclosed that two supermarkets namely H&L at Kuching Central and Aeon Supermarket here have been exposed with positive locations and two eateries in Miri: Food Pavilion, Jalan Bintulu and Eat well Seafood Steam, Jalan Pala were also exposed locations.
All the four positive cases in Kuching and Miri occurred on Jan 29 this year.
