SIBU: The Sibu ‘ Insurance Awareness Torch Run – Run For Insurance 2018’ organised by the National Association of Malaysian Life Insurance and Family Takaful Advsiors (Namlifa) Sibu branch held at Sibu Town Square yesterday attracted 1,300 participants.
Sibu Muncipal Council chairman Datuk Tiong Thai King, who represented the International Trade and E-Commerce Minister Datuk Sri Wong Soon Koh, led the flag-off ceremony with other dignitaries for the event which was held in line with World Insurance Awareness Day.
Organising chairman Ngu Shin Pui revealed that among the 1,300 participants, 200 of them were from outside Sibu which included Kuching, Sarikei, Betong, Mukah, Sri Aman, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri and other states of Malaysia.
