MUKAH: A total of 132 students have been awarded a RM200 voucher under the school uniform aid programme, totaling RM26,400 in the Balingian state constituency.

Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi said the programme, initiated by the Sarawak government and funded by Yayasan Sarawak, aims to assist students across the state.

“Education remains a top priority for us, especially for students in rural areas. Our goal is to ensure that every child, regardless of their location, receives an uninterrupted and quality education,” he said during the School Uniform Voucher Presentation Ceremony held at the Mukah District Office on Monday.

The ceremony also saw the distribution of vouchers by Abdul Yakub to Mukah’s Deputy Education Officer, Yusri Awang Adeni. Also present was Mukah District Officer Peleadzman Ahip.
