14 hurt in collapse of s. Korea’s school gym ceiling structure

SEOUL: One teacher and 13 students were injured on Friday as the ceiling structure of a South Korean elementary school gymnasium collapsed, reported Xinhua, quoting Yonhap news agency.

A part of the ceiling inside the elementary school gymnasium in Yeosu, around 320km south of Seoul, came crashing down to the floor at about 12:21pm local time (0321 GMT).

A total of 14 people, including one teacher, were slightly wounded and taken to a nearby hospital.

The accident was believed to have occurred when finishing materials inside the ceiling collapsed at once.
