SRI AMAN: A total of 14 members of Kelab Jelajah Perkasa Sri Aman successfully conquered the peak of the Mount Tiang Laju in a two-day expedition activity.
“The main purpose of the expedition was to promote the uniqueness of the Mount Tiang Laju area to outsiders and to benefit the locals in the area,” said the group spokesperson, Nordile Ahmad.
Last October, the club members successfully conquered Mount Saran in Engkilili. The members had embarked on the expedition from Rumah Gunong, Samak at Undop, Batu Lintang at 10am.
From the Samak Longhouse area, the expedition members faced difficulty in finding and making new routes before they reached the top of the mountain at 3.15pm.
“On top of Mount Tiang Laju, all participants set up a hammock for a night’s stay while enjoying the panoramic views of this mountainous area. “After an overnight stay at the top of the mountain, participants departed from the location at 7.30am and stopped at Wong Radau waterfall for some recreation,” said Nordile.
He said that the experience of climbing Mount Tiang Laju was very enjoyable and hoped that the same expedition would be held again to promote the mountains in this country for sports enthusiast.
Members of Kelab Jelajah Perkasa Sri Aman who participated in the expedition were Cikgu Pyan, Fikri, Aiman, Bujang, Pak Mat, Izul meon, Amey Kudus, Denel, Azman Taha, Muhd Asyraf, Ramdani, Syawalludin, Yayang @ Dayang Nor and Puspa.
