KUCHING: 14 preschoolers, who completed their education at Taska Tadika Yayasanku Sayang, took part in the kindergarten’s seventh convocation ceremony.
It was graced by the Chief Minister’s wife, Datin Patinggi Hajjah Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Haji Bujang that was held at Yayasan Sarawak, Jalan Sultan Tengah here yesterday.
In her speech, Juma’ani advised parents to see themselves as role models and to set good examples for their children.
“In addition, parents should also show respect for one another so that their children will also do the same,” she said. Juma’ani, who is also the patron of Taska Tadika Yayasanku Sayang, advised parents to spend quality time with their children.
Earlier on, Yayasan Sarawak’s Director, Tuan Haji Azmi Haji Bujang said that since its establishment seven years ago, Taska Tadika Yayasanku Sayang had taught 250 preschoolers. “We are expecting an enrolment of 40 preschoolers for next year’s session,” he said.
