KUCHING: A total of 148 individuals were conferred medals and state honours by Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, at the Astana Negeri here Tuesday (Nov 26).
They were among the recipients of state awards in conjunction with the Head of State’s official birthday tyhis year.
Batang Sadong MP Rodiyah Sapiee led the list of recipients with the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak Pegawai Bintang Sarawak (PBS) alongside others who received the same award.
They were Batang Lupar MP Mohamad Shafizan Kepli, Lubok Antu MP Roy Angau Gingkoi, Machan assemblyman Allan Siden Gramong, Simunjan assemblyman Awla Dris, Opar assemblyman Billy Sujang, Lingga assemblyman Dayang Noorazah Awang Sohor, Katibas assemblyman Lidam Assan and Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap Yau Sin along with Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences dean, Prof Dr Asri Said, and Senior Private Secretary at the Office of the President of the Senate, Mohammad Fahmi Mustafa.
Meanwhile, Ngemah Assemblyman Anyi Jana topped the list of recipients of the Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (PBK).
The ceremony continued with 26 individuals receiving the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (PPK) led by Unimas Integrity Division director, Dr Nasriman Abdul Rahman.
Additionally, 16 individuals were awarded the Ahli Bintang Sarawak (ABS) and eight received the Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (ABK).
The investiture also honoured 41 individuals with the Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (PPT) , and 38 others with the Bentara Bintang Sarawak (BBS).
Also present were Wan Junaidi’s wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, Deputy Minister of Utility and Telecommunication Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, Deputy Minister of Transport Datuk Henry Harry Jinep, Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Office (Integrity and Ombudsman) Datuk Dr Juanda Jaya,Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Deputy Minister Datuk Snowdan Lawan and Deputy State Secretary (Administration), Datuk Buckland Bangik.
