LUNDU: A total of 15 associations received Minor Rural Project (MRP) grants amounting to RM65,500 at the Lundu District Office here on Wednesday (July 6).
“It is hoped that the associations can make full use of the funding for activities beneficial to their respective communities,” said Lundu District officer Gustian Durani, who handed over the grants on behalf of Tanjong Datu assemblyman Azizul Annuar Adenan.
Each recipient is required to submit a report using the form provided by the Tanjong Datu Service Centre, which will then be processed and audited in November.
The associations that received the grant included Raban Bangsa Tuai Iban Community of Lundu District, Lundu Branch Malaysian Ex-Police Association for Lundu Branch, Lundu Buddhist Society, Hikmah Lundu Branch, Belungei Village Development Committee, JKKK Kampung Sekambal Melayu and St Simon Ladies Guild.
