KUCHING: Fifteen participants from Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia participated in the NFT Workshop Series for the March intake on April 8.
The workshop was organised by Urban Jungle Asia in collaboration with non-fungible tokens (NFT) communities PandaPunks, Rafsans and Fancy Fox Club, as well as Me.Reka which provided the online video conferencing platform.
An NFT is a digital asset that represents real-world objects like art, music, in-game items and videos.
Urban Jungle Asia founder Sharifah Nurhidayah Wan Mohamad Jaya said the workshop allowed participants to have an in-depth understanding of NFT and the Ethereum block chain.
“The workshop also allows participants to recognise the scope and goals of NFTs and familiarise themselves with the methods and best practices to create, purchase, and sell NFTs as well as participate in NFT trading by collaborating with crypto and NFTs enthusiasts in Malaysia.
“Based on the number of participants who attended the workshop event, Urban Jungle Asia will regularly open its class and courses enrolment for NFTs from beginner by intake to everyone,” she said.
Sharifah said they would organise other programmes and workshops in the coming months.
“We plan to organise a virtual gallery for our workshop participants after Hari Raya, and at the end of April we will organise a career talk.
“The career talk will be about the science, technology, engineering, agriculture and mathematics (STEAM) industry for SPM leavers. Another programme is the She Leads Bootcamp for women entrepreneurs in Sibu from May onwards.
“The NFT Workshop Series is open to those who are interested to join in for the June intake,” she said.
