KUCHING: The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) reported 15 new Covid-19 fatalities in the state between Sept 14 and Sept 23.
On Sept 14, a death was recorded in Serian district. The case was a brought in dead (BID) case, involved a 70-year-old-man who had a history of cancer.
Two fatalities were recorded on Sept 16, involving a 66-year-old man, a BID case in Sibu and a 63-year-old woman in Serian Hospital — both with history of comorbidities.
On Sept 19, two of the three fatalities are BID cases in Kuching, involving a man, aged 85, who had history of comorbidities and a woman, aged 57, with a history of stroke. Another death involved a 70-year-old man from Betong, also with comorbidities, passed away at Sarikei Hospital.
The committee also reported another two BID cases in Kuching on Sept 21, involving an 86-year-old man with no known medical history, and a man aged 74, with history of comorbidities.
Five more fatalities were reported on Sept 22, involving an 80-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man in Sri Aman Hospital; an 86-year-old man in Bau Hospital and a 66-year-old man in Sibu Hospital. Another BID case was reported, involving a 43-year-old man, brought in dead to Sarawak General Hospital. All cases had a history of comorbidities.
Another death was recorded in Bintulu, involving a 70-year-old woman. She passed away in Bintulu Hospital with a history of comorbidities.
