MUKAH: A total of 15 individuals were nabbed by Malaysian Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK) officers in a raid codenamed ‘Ops Perdana’ conducted for three days at three separate locations.

Mukah AADK chief Felynora Joseph Na revealed that all 15 individuals tested positive for methamphetamine abuse.

Suspects caught in a raid.

“The suspects are aged between 16 and 35 years old. Five were caught in Daro, one in Pulai Bruit and the other nine in Igan.

“Among the 15, one confessed to being the dealer, but there is no evidence to support this claim during the raid,” Felynora said.

Felynora also pointed out that the latest sting produced two suspects, who are siblings.

“Pulau Bruit is a hard to reach location as it has no road access, but we will continue to take action to rehabilitate the addicts so that they can continue to function in their family and their community,” she added.

All suspects have been detained under Section 3 Dangerous Drugs Act (Treatment and Rehabilitation) 1983.
