15 house breaking cases believed solved

MIRI: The police here believed they have solved 15 house breaking cases with the arrest of 19 suspects, including an 11-year-old boy, recently.

This was revealed by the local police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah in a press statement yesterday.

The suspects were rounded up during ‘Ops Pintu’ and ‘Ops Lejang’ held from November 24 to December 13 recently.

“All suspects are aged from 11 to 46,” Lim said.

He added, the 11-year-old boy was nabbed during one of the operations which was held on November 24.

During the arrest, police also seized three vehicles (comprising a Lexus, Naza Citra and Toyota Vios) and a motorcycle.

They also seized valuable items believed to be stolen such as jewellery, wrist watches and electrical items.

He added, with the arrests, police believed that they managed to solve at least 74 cases for this year (2018) in Miri.
