MUKAH: A total of 15 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) here received minor rural projects (MRP) grants on Wednesday.
The recipients comprised six state and federal sports, welfare and recreational associations/clubs, three Islamic organisations, Saberkas Balingian branch, Sarawakup Induk Dayak Sarawak Mukah branch, Mukah Community-Based Rehabilitation Centre, Mukah District Headmasters’ Council, Mukah Community Leaders’ Committee and Mukah Division Disaster Fund.
Balingian Service Centre special officer Che Ghazali Arbi handed over the MRP cheques to the recipients.
He was representing Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi.
The grants were to assist the recipients in organising activities for the benefit of members.
Acting Mukah district officer Pleadzman Ahip and Sarawak administrative officer (SAO) Ismail Kasah also attended the event.
