KUCHING: The city’s six Toastmasters Clubs are to compete in the Joint Area (Area D1, D2, D3) International Speech and Table Topics Contest from 2pm to 5pm at i-CATS West Campus, Jalan Stampin Timur here tomorrow (March 2).
There are 15 contestants from the six clubs vying for the chance to represent their area in the International Speech Category.
They will have to prepare a seven-minute speech of motivational or inspirational nature.
While those competing in the Table Topics category are expected to speak impromptu on topics that will be announced on the spot.
Winners at the Area level will compete at the Division D International Speech and Table Topics Contest at i-CATS West Campuson March 16.
The six clubs are Sains Toastmasters, Kuching Toastmasters, Hornbill City Toastmasters, Connections Toastmasters, Azam Toastmasters and Sarawak Energy Toastmasters.
Public are welcome to watch the contest. Collection of door fee of RM5 includes light refreshments.
