SARIKEI: Fifteen water tanks will be supplied to local residents in Sungai Sian, Selidap River, Kampung Bundong and Muara Bunut.
All the water tanks are to be used by the local residents to store water after experiencing disruption of water supply for about three weeks. The water supply problem occurred after the pipe burst at KJD road resulting in low water pressure in the area.
The Rural Water Supply Department (JBLAB) Sarikei Branch will carry out water supply to the affected area until it returns to normal.
The construction of a new pump at the Water Treatment Plant, which is expected to be completed within three months, will add 5 million litres of water per day to the Bintangor area.
