BINTULU: Some 150 high-powered motorcycles and a number of vehicles with the Sarawak flag roamed the town in conjunction with Sarawak Day Celebration on July 22.

The journey began from Dewan Suarah to Jalan Pantai Tanjung Baru, Jalan Tun Hussien Onn and finally ended at Meda Mall covered a distance of 24.6km.

The convoy, which involved the Dayak Big Bikers Club Bintulu, was aimed at cultivating the patriotic spirit among Sarawakians as well as celebrating Sarawak’s Independence Day.

The programme started with the singing of the national anthem and the state anthem, Ibu Pertiwiku before the convoy was flagged off.

The convoy was regulated by the police to ensure safety.
