KUCHING: A total of 150 students from seven secondary schools here participated in the third series of Malay-Muslim Excellent Course (KPMiC) 2017 Petra Jaya at Kuching North City Hall (DBKU).
The programme which involved Form 1 and Form 2 students was aimed at strengthening excellence and motivating the students to achieve success in their PT3 and Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination.
DBKU Mayor, Datuk Abang Abdul Wahap Abang Julai said they will always support programmes which are aimed at improving the youngsters’ self development.
He also assured that DBKU will also render its support by providing the auditorium free of charge to the organiser.
“I feel very honoured when the organiser said DBKU is the first agency to sponsor a place for them to conduct the programme,” Abang Wahap said in his speech.
The Organising chairman, Yusuf Jali said the programme was held to motivate the students, to think rationally and be disciplined.
“This programme is also meant to foster cultural, religious ties and team spirit among the participants,” Yusuf said.
The one-day course was organised by Amanah Khairat Yayasan Budaya Melayu Sarawak.
