163 stalls for rent at MBKS’ Ramadan Bazaar 2018

KUCHING: A total of 163 stalls are available for traders during the Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Ramadan Bazaar 2018 from May 17 to June 14, 2018.

According to chairman of the MBKS Ramadan Bazaar 2018 Committee, Cr Iskandar Sharkawi, the bazaar is the ninth edition since the first edition in 2010.

“This bazaar is among the Ramadan bazaars in non-Muslim areas and quite popular among the residents because of the various food and drinks offered for sale,” he said during a press conference after MBKS Council Meeting at MBKS Building here, yesterday.

He added that the Ramadan Bazaar will be held at the car park of Stutong Commercial Centre and Stutong Community Market.

Those who are interested to operate the Ramadan Bazaar 2018 stalls can get the application form from One Stop Service Counter D, Lobby, Dewan Bandaraya Kuching Selatan, Jalan Padungan, Kuching from 2 April (Monday) during normal office hours.

All the completed forms must be submitted to the said counter on or before 4pm on 16 April (Monday). Late applications will not be entertained.

All applicants are required to submit their food handler course certificates and to undergo medical check-up with typhoid vaccination on their own.

Successful applications have to pay a rental fee of RM200 per stall to MBKS for trading at the car park of Stutong Commercial Centre and Stutong Community Market throughout the stipulated period.

Earlier on, five MBKS staffers from different departments each received a certificate of appreciation and RM1,000 for their excellent and long services with the council.
