KUCHING: Transport Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin has disbursed a total of RM110,000 in minor project funds to 17 organisations, including those involved in education, health, and caregiving.

He said the funds would assist the organisations with their respective programmes and activities to complement and enhance the government’s initiatives.

Lee, who is Senadin assemblyman, advised the recipients to utilise the funds for their intended purposes to benefit the society.

He also advised his constituents to play their part in raising awareness on the need to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintaining good personal hygiene in light of the current Covid-19 pandemic.

“Do not be negligent and relaxed because the majority of positive cases in Miri are the result of close contacts with family and frequent social interaction,” he said on Saturday (Sept 18).

He also reminded teenagers aged 16 to 17 in Miri District who have left school and have not yet been vaccinated to walk-in to PPV Curtin University Hall or PPV Eastwood Valley Hall on September 19 and 20 from 8 am to 5 pm for vaccination.
