SARIKEI: A total of 174 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2021 high achievers from four schools in Repok received incentives.
These are meant to motivate them to pursue higher academic achievements.
Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii lauded the efforts of educators from the four secondary schools in ensuring that students gain knowledge in the right way.
“Also do not forget the support and encouragement of all parents of these outstanding students. They are actually the foundation of our students’ success today.
“In fact, the government has always encouraged efforts and initiatives of various parties to jointly drive the country’s educational excellence and produce quality human capital.
“Indeed, the younger generation is the future asset of the country,” Huang said when officiating at the SPM 2021 Top Scorers Incentive Presentation Ceremony here yesterday.
At the same time, the people’s representative disclosed the allocations were received from the Sarawak Premier for rural transformation project (RTP) for schools in Sarikei.
For 2022, he said, a total of RM1.155 mil was approved for 23 schools here to upgrade their facilities and infrastructure to provide a comfortable and harmonious learning environment.
