BINTULU: Sports Toto Malaysia (STM) Sdn. Bhd. yesterday, distributed mini hampers and angpow to 180 underprivileged senior citizens in conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year (CNY).
The brief presentation which was held at the premises of the Bintulu Division Hockey Association was done by the Special Officer to the Member of Parliament for Bintulu, Steven Kong Kai Seng accompanied by Sports Toto Malaysia Senior Executive Thera Ganesh.
According to Thera, the programme which is carried out nationwide is a Sports Toto community service programme in conjunction with CNY celebration.
According to him, this programme is in line with the company’s goal to give something back to the community and it is expected that approximately 19,000 underprivileged senior citizens from multiple nationalities will receive contributions via the programme.
The same programme is also organised in conjunction with celebrations such as Kaamatan Festival, Gawai Dayak and Christmas.
