MUKAH: Tellian State Assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo and Balingian State Assemblyman Abdul Yakub Haji Arbi took part in the Mukah Jamboree Fun Ride 2017 here yesterday morning.
The event which attracted 180 cycling enthusiasts from throughout the state, was flagged-off by Political Secretary to the Chief Minister, Faridah Osman, at Dataran Pehin Setia Raja here.
This 55-kilometre ride, from Mukah town to Arena D’Sanglau Oya and back to Mukah town, was organised by Mukah Division Cycling Association (MDCA).
The event started with the arrival and registration of the participants at about 6.30am, followed with warming up exercise before the flagging off ceremony.
On arriving at Oya Sub-District, the participants had refreshment and a short rest before returning to Mukah.
The over two-hour ride ended with the presentation of medals to the participants, followed with the giving away of prizes to lucky draw winners.
Also present were Mukah District Officer Shafrie Saili, MDCA chairman Jamil Haji Othman and Sarawak Member of Malaysian Youth Parliament Johan Harris Sulaiman.
