According to the Minister of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, the organisation of the YBDSFA Cup is a new benchmark in the field of football.
“The last time the competition was held was in 2018 and the following year it could not be implemented due to COVID-19.
“The organisers, the Dalat Youth Movement, also pledged to make this annual event a success,” she said.
Fatimah, who is also Dalat assemblywoman, said the objective of this competition is to establish and strengthen friendships between youth in the Dalat district in particular and the Mukah division in general.
“In addition, activating youth through sports and fostering sportsmanship besides livening up the local sports arena, especially in Oya subdistrict and Dalat district,” she explained.
