1,958 pints of blood donated to Sibu Hospital since Jan

SIBU: A total of 1,958 pints of blood were been collected by Sibu Hospital Blood Bank through blood donation campaigns from January until March 2017.

Sibu Hospital Blood Bank Assistant Information Officer, Lily Sinta said the hospital’s blood bank is targeting to collect 7,500 pints of blood for this year.

“Thus, we want to thank the people of Sibu, who are concerned about the Sibu Hospital’s patient needing blood,” she said when contacted by reporters after the blood donation campaign held at Star Mega Mall here recently.

Lily therefore encourages more people, consisting of all walks of life to get involved with blood donation activity as well as to organise blood donation campaign.

Meanwhile, a total of 83 people bled for a good cause  at the blood donation campaign held at the aforesaid venue which began at 9.00am and ended at 2.00pm.

The blood donation campaign was organised by Hin Hua Dui Binn Community Association and Sibu Hin Hua Poh Sen Association in collaboration with Sibu Hospital Blood Bank.
